During my March Madness watch recently, CBS Sports had a spotlight on a unique relationship between a player with Michigan State and an eight-year-old battling neuroblastoma.
Adreian Payne met Lacey Holsworth two years ago during a hospital visit when she was first diagnosed with a large tumor in her abdomen wrapping around her spine. They basically hit it off. Adreian comes by her house, and they call each other family. You can watch videos on the links below.

Okay, so what is Neuroblastoma?
Neuroblastoma is a childhood cancer of the nervous system, where solid tumors grow from an embryonic tissue type called neural crest, which is located near the spinal cord. More information can be found on Wikipedia and American Cancer Society and The University of Wisconsin Medical Center.
